Dearest Jen,
Sadly we lost touch over the years, but you've always held a special place in my heart. When I first moved to North Bay, I was only expecting to reconnect with my mother and sisters after living with my father for some time. I didn't expect to be blessed with neighbors who'd eventually become an extension of our family. You and I instantly clicked and bonded. We became best friends almost instantly. Your mother was like a mother to my sisters and I when our mother was ill and away for treatments in Toronto. The whole bunch of us kids spent several years making memories and growing up during a very important time in my life. I'll never forget our sleep overs, our dance parties, the games and adventures we played. I will always cherish what we had together and the bonds our families had. It breaks my heart to know how tough life was for you and how much you suffered, but I find peace in knowing that you no longer have to endure the hardships of your illnesses. You are and always will be my most important best friend. I hope you've found your peace when you've gained your wings at the clearing. Blessings for your eternal rest sister.
