Perry Mason posted a condolence

To Angela's Family...my name is Perry Mason. I spent a fair bit of time with Angela while she and I were at Homewood Health Centre. We had many lively conversations, the subjects of which were many. She was as spry as they come. One of the ongoing conversations we had was whether or not men are permitted to cry in public. While I suggested men were not really able to cry publicly, she took the opposing viewpoint that yes, they were permitted to cry publicly.
While I was here I had some gallbladder problems and I was taken from here to a nearby hospital by ambulance. Angela had strategically placed herself by the exit door so that I could see her from the gurney upon which I was laying. As they whisked me out, Angela said to me, "You can cry." That was the last I saw her. When I returned to Homewood, Angela had been discharged. As I discovered, she liked to have the last word, especially if those words were kind.
To Angela's many friends and her rather large family, please accept my deepest condolences. She talked about you all fondly and frequently during our conversations.

Pat and I would like to send our condolences to the Pace clan. Angela was a lovely, intelligent and vibrant woman. Always felt welcome on Maplegrove where I was more than frequently fed as the expected unexpected guest and even more often allowed to stay overnight (or for the weekend!). Angela had a wicked sense of humour and a wit which kept me and everyone else on their toes. We still have the beautiful teak salad bowl set for 50 which Angela and Murray gave us for our wedding 33 years ago. I think of them every time we use it. Rest in peace Ange. We will never forget you.

Sincere condolences from the Mantha family. We have many memories of eating at her large kitchen table with the benches on each side. Always great conversation, lots of laughs and dinner was always delicious! She put up with us all being added to your family gatherings, without missing a beat. She was one of a kind. Thinking of you all at this sad time.

Dear Mary, Ron and the entire Pace family,
It is with heartful sadness that we express our sympathy on the passing of your mother Angela.
The first time I met Angela was on the "Island". There were a number of people there but one thing that stood out was that Angela made you feel at home. She would ask poignant questions and was interested in your response. That evening around 7:30 pm, dinner was being prepared and Angela was serving gazpacho to start the meal. This was very new to me (we normally have our sauce on pasta). The look on my face must have shown some confusion. Mary looked at me and whispered, "You don't have to eat it"! Angela piped in and said "He will like it, there is garlic in it". We all laughed. I have to admit, she was right. It was very good. I smile every time I think of that and her response.
Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. We are hoping that there is some comfort and care for you all, while you celebrate the legacy of your mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Peace and Blessings!

My deepest sympathy and condolences to all the Pace family. One of my fondest childhood memories goes back to August 1965, when your mom and Uncle Murray graciously hosted me, Frank and Jane for several weeks, while my mom took care of Grandma Eva in Toronto. I remember incredible meals and a lot of fun! Those were halcyon days! A wonderful and talented woman!

It is with prayerful sadness, and yet a great deal of joy in memory, that I send our love and rememberance at Angela's dying and entry into eternal life. What I loved about Angela was her feisty passion for life, art, faith and family. The large family of their children was only a prelude to the way Angela and Murray welcomed others and built community around them. Her faith was a mainstay, yet her willingness to engage in important matters was a blessing to us all - even if she loved to challenge with a twinkle in her eye. To all her children who I had the privilege of spending many hours with, we send you all our love, gratitude for your mom, and the blessings of comfort and peace.

I want to express my deepest condolences to the Pace family on the loss of their Mom. I had the pleasure of being welcomed by Angela and Murray to both their home in North Bay, and their island cottage. The love and warmth in those settings was truly spectacular. And having 10 kids and all sorts of guests never an issue - just needed more table space. But thankfully both Angela and Murray live on through their children, and their extended family. Rest In Peace, Angela.
