Obituary of Leonard August Jr. Decaire
Decaire, Leonard August Jr
It is with great sadness that the family of Leonard Decaire share his peaceful passing at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on the morning of February 6, 2021. Len was a police officer with the Ontario Provincial Police for over 30 years in the North Bay Detachment. His love for his family and friends was unmatched and his smile and laugh contagious. Len enjoyed the simple pleasures. In his retirement, he delighted in bringing the family together with marvelous meals and stories. He touched the lives of so many people. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Gloria of 26 years, his sons (and best friends) Dean (Janet) and Derek (Jennifer), grandsons Gregory and Brock who he adored and entire family including Raymond (Jeannine), Bob (Betty), Donald (predeceased), Paul (Diane), Lucille, Adam (Ray), Vicki, Adam (Louise), Ava, Allison, Ashley, James, Gary (Maureen) and loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Our entire family would like to thank the incredible care and attention Len received from Dr Gordon Mah, Dr Mike Leckie and the amazing medical staff at NBRHC for being so professional and caring. We love you and we will remember you as a great husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. You gave us the strength to carry on with your courage…
Respecting Len’s wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If desired, donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
