1978 – 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of John (Jon) Smith announces his sudden passing on Tuesday, September 22nd, at the age of 41.  He is predeceased by his grandfather John E.T. Smith, his uncle Glen Fowler and girlfriend Nannette Barrette.  Jon is survived by his children Xavier, Malcolm & Emma, his mother Susan, his grandmother Sheila Smith and his aunts & uncles: Ann (Gary) Smith, Sherry (Dave) Allan, June Fowler, Violet (Ken) O’Reilly, and Nancy (Brian) Smith; Cousins Hogan (Hailey), Ryn, Nadine (Keith), Chris (Renee), Justin (Kadie), Deanna (Ben), Jennifer, Zach, Vanessa, Ethan, Craig, Aidan, Shiloh, Luxton, Rowan, Liam and Elijah.  Visitation will be held at Martyn’s Funeral Home on Friday, October 9^th, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. To reserve a time for Visitation, please call the Martyn Funeral Home at 705-472-8810. Due to the current pandemic restrictions, those in attendance at the visitation and funeral service must wear a Mask and respect Social Distancing Guidelines. A Private graveside service will be held at St. John’s Cemetery for family. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the North Bay Humane Society, Cancer Society or Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
