Dear Mr. Kayes and Family: We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your wonderful wife Shirly. She was one of my many supervisors when I worked at the Englehart office of Timiskaming Health Unit. A wonderful, bubbly, smiling lady she was. She bounced in the door with her smile and we always had a chat before we got down to business. She was my favourite supervisor! May the love and support of family and friends give you comfort at this very difficult time. Darwin and Verley Lamb.

Sincere sympathy to Rick, Garth, Travis, Mandy and families. A light has gone out in this world and Shirly Jean will be missed. We are so lucky to have her as part of our family. She spread laughter and love everywhere she went. I so appreciated her help and support during our son, Jake's journey. Hopefully they will meet and share some laughs with the rest of our family who have gone before us. Love and support to all who Shirly Jean touched! She will always be in our hearts! (And in our videos!) Xo

My condolences to you, Rick, and your entire family. As a fellow member of the NB Ukulele Club, I have many great memories of Shirly's enthusiasm, her imaginative parodies of songs created for the curling world championship in 2018, and many enjoyable gatherings she hosted at your home on Lakeshore. God's blessings to you all. Tom Zink

Sending prayers, love and my condolences to all who love and cherish Jeannie! My cousin was a very special and amazing woman who had the gift of lighting up any room with just her smile and making everyone feel special! Her stories were interesting and funny, they left you laughing until it hurt! When we would get together, whether at my sister Joanne's house or visiting up north staying at her "bed and breakfast", if always felt that we had just been together the day before ..instead of months apart! In the morning, the delicious smells of her home-made buns was so delightful! Then we would wander out to her beach and enjoy the view while reminiscing about our childhood! When we were all together we felt like (and acted like) we were kids again. I will cherish every moment of our times together. I will miss you dearly! See you in my dreams! Till we meet again! TTEOT LOVE JANET

I have so many, many memories of my dearest cousin, Shirly Jean, who I call Jeannie!. You see, Jeanie was born Shirly Jean Caldwell, and those on the Caldwell side always called herJeannie. When she went to school, she was called by her legal name, Shirley and so the world knew her as Shirley. She often Joked that she should have been a Gemini!. Jeannie, just recently, maybe 2 years ago just found out that she had been spelling her name wrong all her life- there was NO "E" in Shirley. "Wow, this is confusing", Jeannie said. "Another name? Who should I be today!? Shirley Jean? Jeannie? Shirly? Or Shirl? But what isin a name? No matter what name you called her by we all know her for WHO she WAS! The funniest, kindest, most loving friend you could ever have! Her energy preceded her whenever she entered a room! Her many talents amazed me; music, singing, piano, painting just to name a few.. but the UKE .what can I say? The joy that musc brought to others was endless! To KNOW Jeannie was to LOVE her!. She recently told me how much she loved just dropping in on me when she was in Hamilton because as soon as I told my 2 sisters, 4 kids and grandkids that she was there, they bolted over to my place to see her. She said that she could FEEL the love from them all! I am so blessed to be able to call her my Cousin, my dear friend and confidant and I thank God for the gift of her in my life and the lives of my family. I will miss our Florida Disney trips, video chats, her attempts at trying to teach me the Uke, our messages and visits! BY the way, I finally beat her at cards this year! I will miss her terribly, but I won't say GODBYE, because I know that we will always be together Til The End Of Time.. TTEOT luv ya, Jo
