Obituary of Annie (Ann) Gertrude Lewis
Lewis: Ann Gertrude (nee Herald)
Ann passed away on February 16, 2020 at Cassellholme in her 100th year. Predeceased by her husband James Lewis, her sister Fay (Morland) and her brother Larry. Mother of Bill and his wife Britt and Ann and her husband Jim of Blind River. She will be fondly remembered by her grandsons Darren, Brandon, Stephen and Paul and her great grand children Eva, Zoe, Ryker and Eloise- Ann.
Born in Sundridge on December 27, 1920, Ann was the daughter of the late Annie and William Herald. Ann graduated from the School of Nursing at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Toronto in 1945 and worked as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. She was a Nursing Supervisor at Cassellholme for over twenty years and retired in 1985. Ann enjoyed cooking, reading and gardening. The family was grateful for the kindness and compassionate care provided to Ann by the staff at Cassellholme. Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday March 13th from 1:00 PM until time for a Memorial Service to Celebrate Ann’s life at 2:00 PM, in the Funeral Home Chapel.
