RONALD FRANK WAKELING

1931 – 2020

It is with very heavy hearts the family of Ronald Frank Wakeling announce his passing after a short stay in North Bay Regional Health Center.  On Sunday, January 5th, 2020, Dad joined his beloved wife and his very best friend Marie Shirley Wakeling (nee Joron). He was admired by his children Patrick Wakeling (Valentina, predeceased), Debra Glass and Denise Sammut (Grant). He was the always knowledgeable Poppa to Andrew, Melissa (Stephen), Danielle (Matthew) and Jennifer (Michael). Great Poppa to Liam and Valen.  We almost always saw our parents as one entity, one love and one constant. They left an impact on each us in life, at the farm and most particularly in their dedication to each other. So much to say about our parents who came from so little yet created a whole world of opportunity for themselves and their children. Our only solace is knowing they are together again. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place in the spring of 2020 at Callandar Union Cemetery. We would like to welcome family and friends to a celebration of his life Saturday February 8, 2020 at the Seniors Rotary Place, Egan Room, 7 Rotarian Way, Bolton, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.  If desired, donations in recognition of Ron’s ongoing support of The War Amps will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
