RICKER (nee Martin): Barbara Ann

Sadly the family announce her passing at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Saturday November 30^th, 2019, at the age of 81 years. Barbara was the beloved mother of Peter of Huntsville, Jeff of North Bay and Ron and his wife Pam of Texas. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Joshua, Jesse, Johnathon, Samantha, Ashley and by her great grandchildren Addison, Lilly, Marleigh, Patton and Atlas.  Dearly loved twin sister of Carol (deceased), Lenora Comerford (Dan), Brenda Martin (Lilo) and Walter Martin (Maria Gosselin) (Maureen deceased) .  Barbara started working at age 16 at the Canadian Pacific Telegraph Office, until it closed, moving on to the North Bay Court House, Small Claims Court.  Always a very caring and kind person, she found her real calling as one of the first graduates of the Personal Support Worker Program, caring mainly for Newborns and Seniors, through the Emmanuel Church Outreach Program, until her retirement.  Memorial visitation will be held at the St. John the Divine Anglican Church from 10 -11:00 am. A Memorial Service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held at St. John the Divine Anglican Church on Saturday February 1st, at 11:00 am.  Her ashes will be interred in the family Plot in the Terrace Lawn Cemetery. If desired, donations to St. John the Divine Anglican Church would be appreciated by her family.  For many years Barbara was a resident of Waters Edge Care Community, and her family would like to thank the Staff there for the care and compassion they gave her.
