Dewar, Eloise Aline Marie (nee Demers)

 

Born December 9, 1925 in Corbeil, Ontario - Died November 6, 2019 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre. In her 94th year, Eloise/MomMom/GG MomMom passed peacefully surrounded by loving family, beautiful music and the love of many.  Eloise is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Marie (nee Gagnon), six siblings, husband Edward Dewar and husband John Hunt. Eloise is survived by her dear sister Claudette Demers and her daughters Yvonne Dewar- Noseworthy (Wayne Noseworthy), Nancy Dewar-Stenning (Brad Stenning), Linda Dewar, Ann Marie Dewar (Dave Masson), and Cathy Dewar-O’Grady (Tim O’Grady). Eloise/MomMom will be greatly missed by her beloved grandchildren: Karalee, Terry Lynn, Lindsay, Braden, Ailish, Hailey, Heather, Robyn, Jess, Molly and Patrick. Eloise/GG MomMom was adored by her great grandchildren: Nathaniel, Marleigh, Dion, Jonah, Devon, Reece, Bennett, Lauren, Penn, Ryker, Eloise-Ann, Evelyn and Amelia. Eloise loved her family and as well as art, a good cup of tea, a warm bowl of porridge, gardening, pets, politics, cards, sports and music. Resourceful, with a strong work ethic, Eloise had a varied work history beginning with munitions factories during WWII, followed by numerous other types of work. She co-founded Bear Creek Kennels, boarding, raising and training dogs for many years.  Eloise’s strong faith sustained her throughout her life as well as her passing. This influenced all those knew her. Eloise’s family wishes to extend their sincere thanks for the loving care of Dr. Rotondo and all the good folks on C1 at NBRHC. Friends and family are encouraged to join in the Celebration of Eloise’s life at Trinity United Church in North Bay, Ontario on Saturday, November 23rd, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. A private internment will take place at Powassan Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of choice. Online condolences at www.martynfh.com
