DUHAIME – Conrad Ambroise

The Duhaime family sadly announces Conrad’s death at the Mattawa Hospital on Sunday morning October 27, 2019, just a few weeks after his 90^th birthday. For the past 70 years Conrad has been the devoted, loving and beloved husband of Fernande (nee Larocque).  The proud and loving father of Jacqueline Thibeault and her husband Roger, Rolland and his wife Denise, Lise Belanger and her husband Edward, Jeanne D’arc Jodouin and her husband Joffre, Paul and his wife Bridgette, Guy, and  the late Henry and his wife Nicole, he also held a special place in the hearts of his eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Irene Nadeau and Agnes Chenard.   A life- long resident of Mattawa Conrad spent his working life in the lumber industry working in the bush.  He loved being out of doors, was an avid hunter and fisherman. For most of his life he managed and maintained a trap line, often times with either a son, grandchild or Fernande accompanying him. He will be remembered as a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather.  Friends may call at the Martyn & Sloan, Mattawa Chapel on Thursday afternoon and evening from 2- 4 & 7 – 9 pm.  A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Anne’s Church at 11:00am on Friday November 1^st with interment following in St. Anne’s Cemetery.  Online condolences at www.martynfh.com
