Obituary of Josephine Langevin

LANGEVIN – Josephine “Josie”

On October 17, 2019 our dear Lord came and took our sweet Momma, Josie (Josephine) Langevin by the hand and led her home.  Josie was in her 96^th year.

 Josie was predeceased by her parents Peter and Annie Ignace, her husband Emmett, her beloved son Stanley and her siblings Louise, Dorothy, and John.  Josie is survived by her children Jean McLean (Gordon) of Kitchener, Annie-Lou Langevin-McLaren (Paul) of Puerto Aventuras, Mexico,  Bonnie Langevin of North Bay, Regan Langevin (Jessica) of Espanola, Kleda Lapierre (Serge) and Claudine Langevin (Jason), both of North Bay. 

Josie was also Nevin Langevin’s special Ma.  She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Gail, Cindy, Steven, Randy, Ryan, Jacob, and Katrina; eleven great grandchildren , Lindsay, Melissa, Arielle, Joelle, Michael, Daniel, Dustin, Keaton, Levi, Brodie and Athena; and one great great grandchild Dominick.  Josie was loved by many nieces and nephews and was considered a second Mom to her nieces Glenda, Wendy and Wilma.  The Langevin family will receive friends at the Martyn and Sloan -  Mattawa Chapel on Sunday afternoon and evening from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 pm., then on Monday afternoon and evening from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 pm at Martyn Funeral Home, North Bay.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Pro Cathedral of the Assumption, North Bay at 10:00am Tuesday October 22, 2019.  Interment to follow in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Mattawa.   In lieu of flowers donations to the North Bay and District Humane Society or your local animal shelter will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.  Online condolences at www.martynfh.com.
