Obituary of David Anthony Mann

(Born January 1, 1928)

After a joyful and full life, David Mann passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Sunday October 6, 2019 in his 92^nd year. Beloved husband of 69 years to Eileen and devoted father to Greg (Paula). He is also survived by his siblings Brian and Valerie of England. Predeceased by his parents Lewis and Elsie Mann (nee Burt). David will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. David was born in London, England and served in the British Royal Merchant Navy as a young man.   Throughout his life he and Eileen were successful business owners in England and then made their way to Canada where they enjoyed many adventures together.  David was a kind hearted, compassionate and most humorous gentleman.  Loved grandpa to ‘grand dogs’ Hunter and Stella. An avid golfer, David cherished his years vacationing in Florida with his family. He will be greatly missed by many. Heartfelt gratitude is extended to Dr. Brian Shaw, Dr. Kathryn Shaw and all of the nursing staff on D 3 for their compassionate care of David.   Friends are invited to join the family for a Memorial Visitation on Saturday October 19^th from 2-4:00 P.M, in the Martyn Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
