Obituary of Gilles Robert Lapensee

LAPENSEE: Gilles Robert

At the Mattawa Hospital on Tuesday August 20, 2019 at the age of 62 years. Gilles was the beloved husband of Deborah (nee Walker), and the proud and loving father of Diana Lapensee-Dellaire (Mark) of North Bay. He will be lovingly by his grandchildren Jaelyn and Adriah. He will be sadly missed by his parents Mae and Fernand Lapensee of Mattawa his sister Madeleine and  brother Jean. Gilles was well known in Mattawa as “Mr. Sears”, working for the Corporation for 32 years, including operating the Sears Catalogue Store in Mattawa for many years.

A Memorial Mass for Gilles’ will be held at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church  at 11:00am on Saturday August 24, 2019. Interment of ashes to follow in the family plot in St. Anne’s Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Martyn & Sloan Mattawa Chapel with online condolences at www.martynfh.com.
