 MacLennan, Dorothy "Doonan" Margaret

Passed away surrounded by her loved ones at Cassellholme on Thursday, July 11, 2019, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Roderick MacLennan. Cherished mother of the late John MacLennan, as well as Hugh MacLennan (Susan) of Cochrane, Alberta, Andrea MacLennan of North Bay, Margot Carnahan (Tim) of Dundas, Meaghan Gauthier of Barrie. Proud grandmother of Ryan, Amy, Logan, Lauren, Heather, Riley, Liam, Dean, Keith and great-grandmother of Levi, Joelle and Chloe.

Her family will always be grateful for the warmth given by Cassellholme caregivers.

"Doonan" as she was fondly known, grew up in Cobalt, Ontario and settled with her husband Rod on Trout Lake. Rod and Doonan enjoyed a wide circle of friends especially their close-knit "Uneven Avenue Fambly". In later years, they became known as "Rod and Reel" when they owned and operated 1710 Fishing Tackle Company. Doonan will always be remembered for her quick wit and one-liners.

Respecting Doonan's wishes cremation will take place.  A Celebration of her Life will be held in MARTYN Funeral Home on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation and refreshments to follow until 4:00 p.m. If desired, donations to a charity of choice would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
