Obituary of Florence Stacey
Peacefully at the Algonquin Nursing Home in Mattawa on Sunday May 26, 2019 in her 87th year. Florence Stacey (Blake), beloved wife of the late Al Stacey. Loving mother of David of Mattawa and Lynn of Burlington. Grandmother of Jennifer and Aurora. Sister of Onide Soucie (Bob) of Corbeil, Elsie MacPherson (Howard predeceased) of Tiny, Ontario and Conrad Blake (Micheline) of Mattawa. Sister-in-law of Theresa Blake of Mattawa, Doreen Blake of Newmarket, Carl Stacey (Ann) of Toronto and George Stacey (Jeanette) of Noelville. Predeceased by her parents M.J. and Mary Blake, brothers Ted Blake, Emery Blake (Valda deceased), James Blake, Victor Blake and sisters Shirley Dobratz (Ed deceased), Judy Beck (Hans deceased) and Norm Stacey (Ann surviving). Florence will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and by her friends in the South River/ Sundridge area. According to Florence’s wishes, there will not be any funeral services. Following cremation, Florence will be buried in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Saturday June 8th at 11 am, beside her husband Al. If desired, donations to the Algonquin Nursing Home would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
