Ruttan, Howard John

Passed away peacefully at Nipissing Manor on May 12, 2019. He was 84 years old. He lived a good portion of his life to the fullest in whatever he did.  Howard was the beloved husband of Sharon Ruttan (nee Rousseau) predeceased in April 19, 2007.  Father of Doug (Barb), Steven (Jackie), Dave & Paul.  He will be lovingly remembered by his 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his parents Jim & Liz Ruttan and brother Jimmy and sister Betty Zaroski.  Howard was gifted to create many woodworking items in his shop.  He was a boat builder, sleigh maker, machinist and finished off his career at the Canadore Heliport.  He had many crazy and adventurist fishing & hunting trips.  The family would like to extend their heartfelt and gratitude to all the people at Nipissing Manor that looked after him.  Family will receive friends at MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place in the family plot at Callander Union Cemetery following the service. If desired, donations to North Bay Humane Society would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
