HAMELIN – Alcide Joseph

 

Peacefully,  at the North Bay Regional Health Center, on Thursday March 28th, 2019, at the age of 83.  Alcide was the devoted and loving husband of RoseLee (nee Hollands), who predeceased him in 2006.  The proud and loving father of Emile (Margaret) of Cache Bay, Roger (late Carole) of Corbeil (Lorraine Rochefort) of Callander , and Cory (Catherine) of London, England. He will be remembered by his seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, his brother Roger (late Sandra) of Corbeil, and sisters Francoise  (late Adel) of Burlington, Priscilla (late Douglas ) of Ottawa and Jeannine (Raymond Decaire) of Corbeil.  As well as his parents Emile and Annette Hamelin he was also predeceased by his brother Charles.  A talented carpenter Alcide worked as a construction supervisor overseeing the building of many large projects throughout North Bay and the surrounding area.    Please join with is family at Martyn Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon April 7th from 1:00 – 4:00pm to share stories and remember Alcide. In keeping with his wishes his body has been cremated and his ashes will be placed in the columbarium at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
