Obituary of Donna Ruth Burton

BURTON – Donna Ruth 

Donna died peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Center on Sunday January 27, 2019, at the age of 83 years. Donna was the beloved and devoted wife of David Burton and the proud and loving mother of Daryl Burton, Robert (Linda) Johnson and William Johnson. She held a special place in the hearts of her grandchildren Tyler (Dianna), Davin (Janette), and Kirsten (Eric) and her great grandchildren Hannah, Lia, Vera, and Robbie.  She will also be sadly missed by her sister Dorothy Anne Peria of Medicine Hat, Alberta, as well as many nephews and nieces. She was pre-deceased by her brothers William and Raymond Peria.  After a long career as Administrative Assistant at Northern and Central Gas, North Bay, Donna enjoyed 25 years of retirement with her husband, Dave, in the home that they built on Lake Commanda at Restoule.  She liked knitting, working with Dave on projects around the house, and spending time with family and friends. Donna’s family is greatly appreciative of the support of her friends in Restoule and North Bay, the staff at the Empire in North Bay, and the wonderful nurses on C3 at NBRHC.  A special thanks to Dr. I. Jinnah for her incredible support over the last few months. Always loved, she will be forever missed.  In keeping with her wishes her body has been cremated.   Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.  Arrangements entrusted to Martyn Funeral home.
