It is with great sadness that the Stewart family announces the unexpected passing of Huguette “Ma” Stewart at the age of 82 on January 22nd, 2019. She passed peacefully in the comfort of her own home. She is pre-deceased by her husband Jim Stewart and will be dearly missed and remembered by her children; Anne (Trevor), Nancy, Rick (Debbie), Chris (Pauline), Sue (Greg), Karen (Glenn), Laurie (Barry), James, and Laurie Craigie (Brad) who was embraced as a daughter. Huguette “G-ma” was a proud grandmother of; John, Crystal (Joe), Rebel, Shawna (Alex), Jake, Amy (Jason), Jennifer, Andrew, Kevin, Kody, Shayla, Melinda (Patrick), Mason, Devin and her 8 great-grandchildren; Jon, Tainen, Arionna, Sloan, Eli, Ryan, Ava and Xavier.
She will be missed by many in the Callander community and lovingly remembered for all her wonderful gifts of baked goods that gave her great joy to share.
Visitations will be held Monday January 28th at Martyn Funeral home from 2-4 and 6-7:30 with a service to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either the North Bay Food Bank, the Gathering Place, the Warming Center or the Callander Food Bank in honor of Huguette and the joy it brought her in sharing a delicious, homemade meal.
