Obituary of Ken Campbell
The family announces with sorrow the passing of Ken at age 62. Dearly beloved husband of Debbie for the past 41 years. Extremely loving father to Michael (Melissa) and Kaley Tastula (Adam). Lovingly remembered Poppa to Jackson & Molly Campbell and Emmitt & Isla Tastula. Dear brother to Richard (Carolyn), David (Sandra) and brother-in-law to Nancy & Denis Pitre. Son-in-law to Chuck Barrett. He will be remembered by nieces Amy, Sarah Philbin (Sean) & Briana Pitre and nephews Daniel, Justin and Carter. Predeceased by his parents Ron and Marion Campbell, brother Drew, sister-in-law Patricia Campbell and mother-in-law Betty Barrett.
Ken played guitar and had a beautiful singing voice; playing in various bands over the years most recently “Rusty Nail” and “The Whisky Brothers”. He loved to play golf all summer long and enjoyed playing hockey as well for most of his life, running the FNHL for over 20 years.
Ken taught at Tweedsmuir Public School for 21 years and finished his career as a math consultant for the Near North District School board. He was very proud to work in education and helping children realize their potential.
The family will be receiving friends on Friday, December 14th at Martyn Funeral Home from 7pm until 9pm. A celebration of life will follow the next evening, Saturday, December 15th beginning at 7pm at Osprey Links Golf Course. Donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
