MacGillivray: Alberta Clarice “Bertie”

With broken hearts we announce the death of our beloved mother, Alberta “Bertie”.  She was born August 29, 1935 and died November 17, 2018.  She left this life the same way she lived it, with dignity, grace and quiet determination.  She dearly loved her children, and will be deeply missed by Ken (Debbie); Judy (Grant) Fullerton; and Andrew.  She was a loving grandmother to Ramona Valenti and Jeff and Kristin Brown, and a dear great grandmother to Aiden. She was predeceased by her husband, John Russell “Jack” MacGillivray in 1975.  She was born the third of four daughters to Peter Albert and Mary Ann (Stevens) St. Arnaud, both predeceased.  She is survived by her sisters Beatrice (Edwin, deceased) Richert and Merle (Garnet) Randall. She was predeceased by her sister Florence (Arthur deceased) Richardet.  Our mother had a deep love for her Creator, Jehovah God and she drew on her faith for strength throughout her life.  “I have fought the fine fight, I have run the race to the finish, I have observed the faith”

2 Timothy 4:7.  Her children would like to express their heartfelt  thank you  to the staff at Cassellholme, who were so kind and helped make Mom’s last months comfortable.  She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.  There will be a service to celebrate her life on Saturday November 24 at 4:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1120 Premier Road. Arrangements entrusted to Martyn Funeral Home.
