My condolences to Joe's family. I remember Joe well as we grew up together at East Malartic. We were in the same patrol (Hawk Patrol) in Scouts. We all hung out together and shared misadventures.
Our fathers go back a long ways. In the 20's my dad was part of a prospecting group for the M. J. O'Brien firm and Joe's dad was party chief. I have the diary my dad kept of that endeavor. Interesting reading.

Sandy and I were saddened to hear of Joe's passing. We were hoping to see him prior to his death as we had recently heard he was not doing well. I worked at J. S. Redpath for 10 years as a Structural Engineer in training with him as a mentor. Joe never talked much about his achievements or the legacy that was his. We remember well his and Beverly's strength when Bill & Jill Middleton's son suddenly died.
We will miss you Joe. All the aches and sorrows of this life have now passed from you. May God bless you and your loved ones until you meet again.
