MILNE – Robert Alexander

The Milne family sadly announces Bob’s death at the North Bay Regional Health Center on Sunday October 14, 2018.  Bob died unexpectedly a few weeks after his 83^rd birthday.  For the past 60 years he has been the devoted and loving husband of Ingrid (nee Altonen).  The proud and loving father of David (Catherine) of Innisfil, and Ross (Frances) of North Bay, he will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Kyle (fiancé Danielle), Megan, Aarin Huen (Ken), and Alexander (fiancé Destiny), his step grandchildren Dillon and Rochelle Vester, and his great grandchildren Zoey, Xavier, Emma and Carter.  Bob will also be sadly missed by his brothers Keith (Roseanne predeceased), Fred (Wendy), Clifford “Skip” (Roberta) all of North Bay, and Wayne (Pauline) of Feronia, and sisters Helen Sheffield (Norman) of Balsam Creek, and Fay McKever (Wayne) of Callander.  He was predeceased by his  parents Melvin "Pat" and Olga Milne, his brother Melvin (Margaret predeceased) and will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.  A machinist by trade Bob was a shift supervisor at Canadian Longyear, retiring in 1992 after 38.5 years of service.  He enjoyed the out of doors, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He was a Lifetime member of both the North Bay Bowhunters and Archers Club and the North Bay Hunters and Anglers Club. In keeping with his wishes Bob’s body has been cremated.

Friends may call at Martyn Funeral Home on Saturday October 20 from 12:00 noon until time for a service to celebrate his life to be held in the chapel at 1:30 pm.
