Obituary of Ngan Kou Rose Hong

After a brief battle with cancer, Rose passed away peacefully with family by her side at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Thursday, October 4th, 2018. Ngan Kou Rose (nee Cheung) was the beloved wife of Ken Mong Hong, she was 78 years old. Loving mother of Raymond Hong of North Bay, Linda Hong of Toronto, Owen Hong, Ben Hong (Ylise Dobson) both of North Bay and France Todd (Chris) of Ottawa. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jade and Colby. Dearly loved sister of Betty Lee (Ken) of Toronto and their children, Brenda, Donna, Kelly and Jean. For 29 years Ken and Rose owned and operated the China Town Take-Out Restaurant of Cassells Street, retiring in 2005. Her family will receive friends in the Martyn Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 9th, from 11:00 am until time for a Funeral Service in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM. Interment to follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery. If desired donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated by her family. Many people were very kind to Rose during her recent illness. Her family would like to thank the Dobson family, Dr. Derek Ng and the staff at the NBRHC, for the love and care they gave.
