Obituary of Joseph Jean-Guy Boyer

BOYER: Joseph Jean-Guy “Guy”

Passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, June 27^th, 2018, at the age of 77. Guy, was the beloved husband of Janice Therese (nee Reinhart). Loving father of Shandra Hummel and her husband Clinton of North Bay, Michelle Turner and her husband Brad of Horseshoe Valley, Peter and his wife Josee also of North Bay and J.P. and his wife Karri of Trenton. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Carter, Aidan, Nate, Lucas, Ryan, Alexandra, Emma, Ethan, Jaxen, Mason and Liam. Dearly remembered by his siblings Andree Mantha (Horace), Nicole Charette (Allan), Bob Boyer (Debby), and by Janice’s siblings David Reinhart (KevinAnn), Bonnie Thomson (Bruce), Richard Reinhart (MaryAnne), Ken Reinhart (Nancy), Howard Reinhart (Joanne), Jeff Reinhart (Jennifer), Greg Reinhart (Jodi) and, by his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and by his sister Suzanne. Guy will be sadly missed by his fishing buddies Larry Bean, Phil Schmidt, Dennis Meyer and Arnie Vandenhoff . He and Janice for many years were the owners of The Engraving Shoppe in North Bay. Guy was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and treks to his secret fishing hole. Memorial Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Saturday June 30^th from 2-4 and 7-9:00 PM. A Time of Remembrance will be held on Saturday evening during the visitation at 7:30 PM. Cremation at the Forest Lawn Crematorium. If desired, donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation or the CCU at the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated by Guy’s family. His family would like to thank Dr. David Lamont, Dr. Karen McKenna, Dr. Tim Percival and the Nurses of the CCU for the care and compassion they gave Guy.
