Obituary of Margaret Joan Mackie

Mackie, Margaret Joan Passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Sunday, January 4, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Tom Mackie. Daughter of the late Jack & Dolly Stockdale. Cherished sister of Dorothy Ellis of Ottawa and predeceased by her brother Jack Stockdale. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and her cherished dear friends Anne and Bob Walsh. In 1946 Joan began a "temporary position" with the Department of Lands & Forests and retired in 1983 after 37 years of service. She was a dedicated and faithful member of St. John's Anglican Church. Family will receive friends at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at St. John's Cemetery in the spring of 2015. If desired, donations to St. John Church - Memorial Fund would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
