Obituary of Cheryl Denice Maltby

After a brief illness at Sudbury Health Sciences North on Wednesday June 10, 2015, Cheryl passed away in her 51st year. Dear wife of Robert Maltby of 29 years. Loving mother of Lauren (Ryszard). Sadly missed by her parents Mel and Doreen Cox of North Bay. Cheryl recently retired after a 30 year career in dentistry. She spent 43 years in figure skating as a participant and a coach with the North Bay Figure Skating Club and the Hespeler Figure Skating Club in Cambridge. She was also an avid gardener. Cheryl’s family wish to offer their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and doctors on the Palliative/Oncology floor at Health Sciences North for all their care and hard work. She will be deeply missed by her favourite dog Holly and by extended family and friends. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Monday from 11 am to 12:30 pm. A brief memorial service will be held at 12:30 followed by a lite lunch. Cremation will take place at the Forest Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation or the North Bay Figure Skating Club, Cheryl Maltby Memorial Fund would be appreciated.
