Andrew Chirgwin, born October 4th 1945, of North Bay (Pembroke), passed very peacefully on Monday with his wife and family by his side. Andy is survived by his wife Kathy (Fraser) of 49 fulfilling years of marriage. He is also survived by his daughters Susan (Lorne) of Rivers, Manitoba, Leslie (Charles) of North Bay; his 6 grandchildren Kaitlyn, Karalee, Carley, Megan, Sheri-lyn, Derek; his brother Terry Chirgwin of North Bay. Andy served the public by protecting communities for 30 years with the Pembroke Police Department until he retired in 2001. A loving husband, father, and grandfather. He touched the lives of so many with his baby blues, humor and humbled charm. A heartfelt thank you to his family of caregivers at the North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) - Evergreen Lodge. The care and compassion Andy and Kathy received there for the last 4 years goes beyond words. The family is welcoming all family and friends to the home of Leslie & Charles Stickle, 41 Janey Avenue, North Bay from 11am to 4pm on Sunday January 18th. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to the "NBRHC Patient VOICE" program (cheques only) and can be done at MARTYN FUNERAL HOME.
