Obituary of Ken Burke

Burke, Ken January 28, 1934-December 29, 2017 Surrounded by the love of his family, Ken passed away peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital Friday December 29th,, 2017 at the age of 83 and is now in the loving arms of his Lord and Saviour. Survived by his loving wife Elaine (nee Mayhew) and predeceased by his first wife “Babs” Lorraine (nee Langlois). Cherished father of his “3 Musketeers”, Cindy (Robert), Jenny (Wayne), Tammy (“Deano”) and predeceased by his two sons, Bruce (Linda) and Randy. In the hearts of his step children Louise (Steve), Shirley, Jerry (Karel), Mark (Jill), Adele (Vaughn) and Brenda (Claude) and predeceased by Bobby (Karen). Fondly remembered by his siblings Keith (Mae), Earla, Terry and predeceased by Easton. Adored Grandpa/Pa Ken to Chad, Tyler, Randall, Jordan, Jessica, Jesse, Johannah, Amanda, Ryan, Danielle, Amy, Ethan, Sarah, Tyler, and Shelby. Most wonderful Great Grandpa/Pa Ken to Ivory, Declan, Bronson, Kianna, Charlie, Jenna, Emma, Avery, Maggie, Eliane, Noah, Harper, and Brantley. Ken was a true outdoorsman and could often be found happily fishing, hunting, stacking his wood piles, or puttering in the garage. Ken was a jack of all trades and a master of them all. His lively sense of humour and his friendly helping hand will be greatly missed and cherished. Friends are invited to join Ken’s family for visitation Tuesday, January 2nd 2018, from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm at Boyce Funeral Home Limited, 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior.  A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday January 3rd, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church, 156 Landrigan Street, Arnprior at 11:00 am with luncheon to follow in the church hall. Family and friends in North Bay and area are invited to join Ken’s family for visitation Saturday, January 6th, 2018 at Martyn Funeral Home, 464 Wyld Street, North Bay from 11:00am until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:00pm in the chapel. Light refreshments to follow. In memory of Ken, donations may be made to the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation, the Grove Nursing Home or in honour of Ken, consider planting a tree in his memory at www.forestsontario.ca/community/get-involved/donate/.
