Passed peacefully at Cassellholme, on Monday January 8, 2018 with family by her side. Dorothy Alice (nee Brown), was the beloved wife of the late William Alfred Etches, she was 91 years old. Loving mother of Bill and his wife Murielle of Callander, and predeceased by her sons Larry and Bob. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Sean, Christopher, Stacey, Shawna, Penny and great grandchildren Michael, Courtney and Austin. She was the dearly loved sister of Bob Brown of Victoria, B.C. and she was predeceased by her brother William. Dorothy was very athletic as a young lady, excelling in Skiing and Swimming. The Trophy and medals she won for skiing were donated to the Allied War Effort. Into later years she continued to swim, and her family was amazed at her graceful fluid stroke. Special thanks to Dr. Prins and the wonderful and dedicated staff at Cassellholme. A celebration of Dorothy`s life will be held at a later date and an interment will take place in the family plot at the Terrace Lawn Cemetery. If desired donations to Community Living North Bay would be appreciated by her family.
