Joyce Fraser Obituary
Fraser, Lillian Joyce (Loudon)
Born October 26, 1932, to Hugh and Myrtle Loudon entered into eternal rest on September 6th, 2026. Joyce, as she preferred to be known, grew up in Sundridge with her younger sister, Patricia Nadine Stack. Joyce attended North Bay Collegiate Institute and Vocational School, graduating in 1950. Before her marriage to Hugh William Fraser, she worked at CFB North Bay. Joyce and Hugh were married on October 6, 1962. They had two sons, Hugh Curtis born on August 13, 1963, and Richard Trent born December 29, 1965.
Joyce’s long life was marred by the onset of dementia, but she was always happy to see Curtis at Christmas and Trent, an Anglican priest in the USA, when he could visit in summer. Joyce is survived by her sons Curtis and Trent. She will be dearly remembered by her extended family, Shaun, Shannon and Shelly Stack, and by Cathy Fraser-Marmino, Hugh’s sole surviving sister. Joyce was predeceased by her parents, her sister Nadine, and her husband Hugh. In accordance with Joyce’s wishes, there are no public services. Private interment of her ashes will be at Strong Cemetery, Sundridge. Many thanks to Cassellholme nursing and staff for taking care of our beloved Joyce. Curtis and Trent are grateful for Martyn Funeral Home and their compassionate care preparing our mother’s remains for burial. Donations to your charity of choice in memory of Joyce are appreciated.
