Andrew Yackobeck

September 2, 1982 – September 5, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Andy Yackobeck on September 5, 2026.

Andy leaves behind his wife, Sarah, and his girls, Amelia, Sabrina, and Hannah.

He spent countless hours driving his girls to practices, games, and tournaments, always making sure he was there. Those hours spent in the stands were never a burden to him. They were simply where he wanted to be, with his girls.

He shared his love of sports with each of his daughters. He taught Amelia about hockey and had recently encouraged her to lace up and start playing. He was so proud of Sabrina’s passion for volleyball and was always her biggest hype person. He coached Hannah in hockey, something he loved so much. He was incredibly proud and excited when she scored her first goal last year.  His girls will carry his voice, his love, his humour, and his unwavering belief in them wherever life takes them.

Andy and Sarah’s life together wasn’t about grand gestures. It was about the everyday moments, the adventures, the laughter, the family, and all the memories they built along the way. Those are the memories Sarah will carry with her always.

He will be dearly missed by his parents, Maureen and Gerry Brazeau.  His siblings, Vanda (Ryan) and Marlee, step siblings Pat, Sylvie and Dan Brazeau.  Sarah’s family, Yanon and Sharron Begg; Shannon (Garfield) Drake and Rachel Begg. As well as his many beloved nieces and nephews, extended family, and countless friends.

He was so much to so many people, and he will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2026, at 2:00 p.m, with refreshments to follow.
