Rita Dinah Ricker

It is with broken hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Rita, at the age of 64, on Sunday, July 19, 2026, while doing what she loved most - hosting a family gathering surrounded by the people she loved.

Rita was the much-loved mother of Cory McDonald (Erin), Josh Ricker (Shanena), and the late Jesse Ricker (2021). She was a proud grandmother to Jaydn, Cohen, Chloe, Addison, Lily, and Asher, who brought endless joy to her life.

Rita will be lovingly remembered by her siblings George Manger, Alicia Masson-Henry, Alexis Ranger (the late Norm), June Maksym, Pamela Ricker (Ronald), her twin sister, Bonita Stewart (the late Jim), Toni Manger, and Lisa Manger, as well as by her 17 nieces and nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.

Rita enjoyed spending time with those she loved and was happiest when everyone could be together.  An excellent baker, she loved sharing homemade treats with family and friends.  Rita also truly enjoyed her part-time job at Perron's Freshmart, where she appreciated the friendships she made over the years. Creative and crafty by nature, she was always happiest when she was making something special for someone else.
