Florence Marie Mitchell Taillefer

September 03, 1955 – June 18, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Florence (Flo) Mitchell Taillefer. Florence was born to Edward and Marian Mitchell in Geraldton, Ontario.

Florence was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend.  She enjoyed the simple things in life.  Her happiness was found in spending time with her family and friends.  Here greatest joy was her sons (Evan and Landon) and grand dolls (Paisley and Ellie Taillefer). She enjoyed music and dancing which lead her to meeting her husband, Micheal Taillefer.  Her earlier career was hairdressing, and then later in life became a Registered Practical Nurse specializing in Mental Health.  She had great compassion for her patients and retired 10 years ago from nursing.

Florence is survived by her children, Evan Taillefer, Landon (Megan) Taillefer and granddaughters Paisley and Ellie, sisters Phyllis (Rejean Poirier) and Edna Mitchell, Stepmother Marlene Person Mitchell, Uncle Robert (Karen Mitchell) and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Micheal Taillefer, her parents Edward and Marian Mitchell, sister Lorraine Hanover, nephews Christopher Weston, Patrick Poirier and many other relatives and in-laws.
