Born on July 7, 1937, in Rutherglen, Ontario, Wesley lived a life defined by dedication to his family, hard work, an appreciation for life’s simple pleasures, and a love of bluegrass music.
Wesley was the beloved husband of Ruth Sullivan (Hone), with whom he shared 66 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family and a lifetime of cherished memories. He was the proud father of Bonnie Sullivan and was predeceased by his son, Dean Sullivan. He also held a special place in his heart for his daughter-in-law, Kelly.

He was a devoted grandfather to Courtney Ouellette (Lucien Ouellette), Ryan Sullivan (Brittanie Sullivan), Carley Lavery (Kyle Lavery), Chris Hebert (Mackenzy Hebert), Katie Deering (Brandon Deering), and Jody Sullivan (Kait Pattemore). He was also a proud great-grandfather to Lane, Quinn, Vayda, Wren, William, Wesley, Odin, Finnley, Sydney, and Amelia. Nothing brought him greater joy than watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and celebrating their accomplishments.
Beyond his devotion to family, Wesley was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching hockey and baseball. He also enjoyed spending time birdwatching and making memories at the family cottage. Some of his happiest moments were spent there, surrounded by family and friends, sharing laughter, stories, and time together.
Wesley is survived by his siblings Bobby Sullivan (Rosanne Sullivan, predeceased), Stanley Sullivan (Cheryl Sullivan) and Lorna Berger (Barry Berger) as well as his brother-in-law Jim Hone (Dorothy Hone).
