It is with heavy hearts that the family of Theresa announce her passing on Sunday, June 7th, 2026, at the age of 83.

Theresa was born and raised in Mattawa, Ontario. She loved to laugh, her Pepsi, wordsearches, and visits from friends and family. She enjoyed the many activities and outings provided by the Algonquin Nursing Home, especially Bingo.

Theresa will be deeply missed by her daughter, Marie (Rick), her sisters, Ida (Maurice) and Judy, and her brothers, Carl, Garry, and Elmer (Michaelene), along with her many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by the staff and friends at the Algonquin Nursing Home.

She was predeceased by her mother, Isabelle, father, Raymond, stepfather, Harvey Thibert, brothers, Leonard and Bob, and sisters, Caroline (Stanley) and Shirley (Neil).

The family would like to sincerely thank the entire staff team at the Algonquin Nursing Home for their exceptional care for the last 22 years of Theresa’s life. Dr. Williams, her family doctor, was always there to support Theresa when needed. The family is eternally grateful for the dedicated care she received.

Interment of ashes will take place at St. Anne’s Cemetery on Saturday, July 18th, 2026, at 11 a.m. followed by a light lunch and Celebration of Life at Valois Restaurant.
