McWaters, Lawrence

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father Lawrence McWaters, who died peacefully on May 25th 2026, at the age of 74.

Lawrence was a devoted father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend whose kindness and caring nature touched everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his loving daughter Jennifer and husband Kevin, and his son Jeffery and wife Sarah.  He was a very proud and loving grandfather to Ella, Callan, Asher and Addylin, who brought him endless joy and laughter. He is now reunited with his beloved brother Jim and sister Susan.

Lawrence will also be fondly remembered by his extended family, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Known for his sociable personality, generous heart and sense of humor, Lawrence’s smile always lit up the room. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, and creating memories wherever he went.  One of his greatest passions in life was fishing, a pastime he truly loved and shared with many loved ones over the years.

His warmth, sense of humor and caring spirit will be forever cherished and never forgotten.

Please join us for a casual gathering to celebrate Lawrence’s life on Tuesday, July 7th, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Manitouwadge Golf Clubhouse, 4 Station Road, Manitouwadge, Ontario. Come share a story, a memory, or simply spend some time with family and friends as we remember Lawrence and the many good times he brought into our lives. Light snacks will be provided.
