Baker, Susan Frazer (nee McKillop)

Mom is at peace.

We are extremely heart broken and sad to announce her passing on May 25, 2026, but are comforted knowing she has gone on to join the love of her life, Jim Baker. Left behind to mourn her loss is her loving daughter Kimberly Culin (David), Kevin Baker and Karen McArdle (Brian).

She was the proud and loved Grandma, affectionately known as “Gma” to Ashley Marshman, Taylor McArdle (Cam Burns) Matthew Culin (Haley), Kaitlyn Williams (Cory) and Meghan Arnott (Alex). She was also very excited to become a Great Gma in June to Baby Williams.

She will be sadly missed by Dad’s loving family Bob & Linda Baker and their children, Cheryl, Stephen and Craig. Also left to mourn her loss are Jan & Rolly Hunt and her dear best friend Lori Parfenuik (Aunt Lori)

Mom’s health journey over the last few years was a challenge but she was never one to complain. She just marched on, bravely fighting each and every challenge until she just couldn’t fight anymore. We are forever grateful to the caring nurses and staff of the NBRHC Dialysis unit. She often referred to you and her unit friends, as her dialysis family. Heartfelt thanks to Dr O’Grady and the many PSW’s, caregivers and nurses who helped and cared for Mom along her medical journey. Special thanks to the caring nurses of the CCU that kept her comfortable and respected her wishes in her final hours.

Mom’s pride and joy was her family. She enjoyed all the family get togethers, the laughs, the craziness and the love. Just being in the same room, sitting in a comfy chair with her blanket, soaking it all in.

Friends may call at Martyn Funeral Home on Friday, May 29th, 2026 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

A donation to the North Bay Regional Health Centre – Renal Unit would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
