Burgess, Lorne David

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lorne David Burgess, who left us peacefully in the comfort of his home after a long battle with liver disease. Born on October 23, 1967, in Toronto, Lorne was the beloved son of David and Brenda Burgess (Robertson).

Lorne was a devoted father to his three children, Tor, Sarah (Darcey) and Emily. He was a proud grandfather to his beloved grandsons, Ben and Cooper, who brought him endless joy. He is also survived by his father David Burgess, his brother Dony Burgess, his sister Carrie Nelson (Rob) and his nephews Josh, Dylan and Dalton. He was predeceased by his mother Brenda, who is waiting for him in heaven. 

He will be remembered for his strength, his love for his family, and the happiness he found in life’s simple pleasures. Lorne especially loved spending time camping, fishing, watching NASCAR races, and being surrounded by the people he loved most — especially his daughters and grandsons.

There will be no formal funeral or celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation (Ontario Region) in his memory. Online condolences may be left at www.martynfh.com.
