Paulsen, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” (nee McInnis)
July 3, 1938-January 23, 2026
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Paulsen on January 23, 2026, at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, in her 88th year.
Betty was predeceased by her husband Arthur Paulsen, and her loving companion of 32 years, Fern Devost, as well as her son Keith Paulsen (Tammy). She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted sons Glenn and Garry (Diana), and her stepchildren Mike (Katie), Susan (Dean), and Mark (Nicole). Betty was a proud Grandma to 12 cherished grandchildren and a beloved Great-Grandma to her many great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her many cousins and family members.
Anyone who knew Betty knew that her greatest joy was caring for her family and spoiling her grandchildren. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, always filled with the comforting smells of home-cooked meals and freshly baked treats, lovingly made and meant to be shared. She found joy in the little things and treasured the special moments spent with family.
Betty’s kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
In keeping with Betty’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Donations to the Charity/Organization of your choice would be greatly appreciated in her honour.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and staff at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, especially the nurses and staff on C3, for their exceptional care and compassion.
