Bonita Heather "Bonnie" Galinski Obituary

Bonita “Bonnie” Heather Galinski (nee Bale)

April 26, 1947 to December 19, 2025

Daughter of the late Ernest and Irene Bale, she is survived by her brother Frank (Brenda) of London. Gone before her are her siblings Ted, Ruth, Bill and Bob.

Bonnie was a special aunt to her nieces and nephews:

Diane, Greg, Lisa and Erin; Steven, Karen and Cathy; Beth, David and Jeff; Michael and Lana; and Bryan, Kristen, Adam and Logan.

In her early years, Bonnie spent many summers at the family tourist camp on Lake Nipissing.  Wonderful memories were made there, and Bonnie always loved being in or near a lake.

As a young adult, she worked as a bookkeeper and secretary.  Later, she moved to Sault Ste. Marie, working for the Canadian Sunday School Mission.  Teaching children about the Bible was “her best job ever.”

Bonnie returned to North Bay in her later years.  She faced many health challenges, including vision and hearing loss.  She valued her friendships, especially that of her best friend, Carol.  Many will remember Bonnie for her hearty laugh and her curious nature.

A celebration of life will be held at Martyn Funeral Home on Thursday January 22 at 2pm.

Donations in Bonnie’s memory may be made to the North Bay Humane Society.
