Mafalda Meyers Obituary

Meyers, Mafalda Ann (known as Muffy, née Mancini) passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025, at the age of 91.

Muffy shared a loving marriage of 58 years with her husband Vince, who predeceased her in 2017. In 1971, together they moved with the kids from Hamilton to North Bay, beginning a new chapter built on hard work, independence, and community. Muffy helped Vince manage the city’s double-rink arenas, and never one to sit still, she also managed a motel in North Bay, taking pride in every role she took on. She then went on to own and operate lottery concessions in Northgate Square, as well as a post office within the mall. Her strong work ethic and willingness to take on new challenges were defining parts of who she was.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl Clark (Scott) and Paul Meyers (Julie), and her five beloved grandchildren, who she was immensely proud of. The “Meyers Girls” include Sarah (Scott), Whitney (Laurentiu), and Caitlin (Caelan) along with the Clark children, Benjamin and Makayla. Ben, her only grandson, held a special place in her heart and was proudly known as Nona’s favorite grandson, a title he wore with honour. She was also blessed with a beautiful great-granddaughter, Harlow. Muffy will be dearly missed by her furry companions, Stewart, Nova, Jake, Sidney, Flynn, and Lola

She also leaves behind her devoted siblings, Nellie McLeod, Fred and Albert Mancini.

Muffy was generous, kind, and deeply loving, with a heart that touched everyone who knew her. She was also never shy about telling you exactly how she felt.

She loved a good murder mystery, whether in book or movie form, enjoyed crocheting, and had a fondness for “investing” at Casino Rama.

She will be deeply missed, but we take comfort in knowing she is reunited with our dad once again.

We like to imagine them playing canasta with their dear friends Mary and Art DiLella in that big kitchen in the sky, both sides accusing the other of cheating, just as they did at weekly dinners while we were growing up, much to the kids’ entertainment.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jinnah for her compassion and care. You were so good to Mom. A sincere thank you as well to the third-floor staff at Cassellholme for the kindness and care you showed her. We are truly grateful.

Cremation has taken place. A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
