AUBIN, Gilles Philippe

Peacefully at Algonquin Nursing Home, Mattawa on November 26, 2025, in his 84th year.

Gilles will be missed by his devoted & loving wife Ruth, his loving son Allan (Catherine) of Mattawa, brothers Marcel (June – deceased) & Fernand. Gilles was born in Lavigne Ontario to Alida (Vincent) & Hector Aubin. Predeceased by his brothers Roger (Katherine), Florian (Margaret) and sisters Claire Cushing (Wayne), Fleurette Huard (Bob) and stepson, Jerry.

Gilles was a retired licensed Sheet Metal Worker of 44 years. He was an active member of Sheet Metal Union Local 504, Sudbury & served as Union President for 18 years and on the Executive Health & Welfare Board for many years. He was a mentor for many apprentices and a dedicated member.

Gilles enjoyed many summers at the family cottage on Sturgeon Lake in Mattawa. He liked fishing, hunting and travelling. He always offered his help to family and friends.

As per Gilles’ wishes, there will be no funeral service.
