PENNELOPE MARY AVERY (PENNY) February 25, 1948 - November 6, 2025

We are sad to announce that Penny has passed away at Cassellholme after many struggles with her health.  

Penny was predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Dorothy Avery, her brother Larry Avery and her son Stephen Avery.  She is survived by her grandson Foster Avery and sister-in-law Nancy Avery, nieces Peggy Avery, Shari Avery and Jane Avery and grandnieces Katie Wilde and Mya Smith.  She was loved and will be greatly missed by her good friends Laurie Jones and Kevin DeKlerk and family.

Penny dedicated her entire working life, over 50 years, to Union Gas/Enbridge Gas companies and retired at the age of 70.

Our deepest gratitude goes to the entire staff at Cassellholme for their excellent care for the past 2 plus years.  They are all amazing people. Special mention goes to her dear friend France Hacquard who has been an extraordinary help with Penny during her time at Cassellholme.

At Penny’s direction there will be no visitation or service.  Arrangements are with the Martyn Funeral Home.
