Philip Emery Turcotte (Ki)
May 26, 1944 - October 29, 2025
It is with great sadness that the family of Philip (Ki) announce the passing of their beloved husband, father and grandfather, who passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at the Mattawa Hospice.
Ki was husband to Muriel for 51 years. Loving Dad to Robbie and his wife Kylie, and Scott and his wife Lyndsee.
Proud papa to Trent, Jackson, Hannah and Elise and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Ki was born, raised, worked and retired in Mattawa. From early on in his life he had a love for nature and the outdoors. Something he strived to pass on to his children and grandchildren. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and worked hard at everything he put his mind to. Philip worked for the Ministry of Transportation for 30 years and was fortunate to enjoy many years doing the things he loved, surrounded by the people he loved.
Ki loved music and singing his favourite songs at the camp at Sturgeon Lake. A place that he loved so dearly and wanted to pass along to his kids and grandkids.
His fight with his battle was no surprise to anyone as he never gave up on anything in his life and this is just a small part of his legacy that will live on in the hearts and minds of all his family.
Visitation will be held at the Martyn & Sloan Mattawa Chapel, on Sunday, November 2nd, from 2-4 and 7:30-9:30 with Mass on Monday, November 3rd at 11 a.m. at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Mattawa and luncheon to follow at Mattawa Golden Age Club.
Gone for a little while, never forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ki's memory to the Mattawa Hospital - Hospice.
