Edward John Scully
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ed Scully who left us on October 27th, at the age of 75. Ed was the beloved husband of Noreen (Taylor) for 47 years and much loved Dad to Jonathan (Jaime), Richard (Kara), Samantha (Jason Partridge) and Jennifer (Mike Wasylkiw). He was the proudest Papa/Grandpa/Grandad to MacKenzie, Mckaila, Braxton, Dakota, Addison, Emerson, Cainen and Raeann.
Ed's greatest joy in life was his children and grandchildren. He cherished his time with them whether it was a family gathering, walks on the property or supporting them from the stands as he watched his grandsons play hockey.
Ed was a letter carrier for Canada Post for 30 years covering most of North Bay. He also served his community for 10 years as a volunteer firefighter with the East Ferris Fire Department and as a delivery driver for Rose Bowl Florist.
Ed was a true outdoorsman and avid hunter. He was happiest walking the trails of his property and spending time at the hunt camp with the dogs and a couple beers. His love for the outdoors was matched only by his love for his family.
He will be remembered for his kind heart, his giving nature and the way he always put his family first. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held in private with his family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the East Ferris Fire Department in Ed's memory by E-Transfer to effersassociation@gmail.com or to Soldier On, a program of the Canadian Armed Forces https://www.soldieron.ca/give-support. He was a proud supporter of both.
