It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dainty dePencier, who left us peacefully on August 18, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Dainty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was rooted in love, faith, and care for others. She was the cherished wife of the late Roland “Tuff” dePencier, who was the love of her life.
She will be forever remembered by her children Ellen (Les), Nancy (Colin), Doug, and Dean Sr. She was predeceased by her beloved son William aka Bill (Sue). Her greatest pride and joy came from her family, and her legacy of love continues to live on in each of them, as well as in all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dainty’s faith was central to her life. She was a dedicated member of her church, where she found strength, comfort, and community. Her unwavering belief guided her through life’s challenges and brought her peace.
Over the years, Dainty lived in several places, but her heart always found its way back to North Bay, which she called home for many years. She had a deep love of animals and was especially known for her gentle care of the deer that came to visit her property. They seemed to sense the kindness of her spirit and gathered faithfully under her care.
Dainty’s life was a reflection of her heart: nurturing, strong, and endlessly giving. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to guide and comfort all who were blessed to know her.
A private family gathering will be held to honour her memory at: Martyn funeral home.
Visitation will be held this Friday, August 22, at Martyn Funeral Home, from 2-4 PM and again from 6-8 PM. There will also be a morning visitation on Saturday at 10 AM.
The funeral service will take place at Martyn’s on Saturday from 11 AM to 12 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at Martyn Funeral Home around 12:00 PM. Snacks and refreshments will be provided by her lovely church family.
Your presence and support during this time means so much to our family. Let's come together to celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
