Peterson, Gary

On Saturday, August 9th peacefully and surrounded by love, family and his precious dog Mollie, Gary (Husband of Darlene) passed away after a brief illness.   Gary was the loving dad of Erika and Emily Peterson, and supportive step-dad to Shannon & Shawn Mills.  Proud papa to Logan Mills, Olivia, Ella, and Sophia Orprecio, and Lily Oshell.  Remembered by Marcus.

Gary was a Registered Practical Nurse at the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital and NBRHC (Maple/Birch Lodge) and retired after 35 years.

He is survived by his siblings Lillian (David Lewis), Richard (late Barbara), Beverly Roy (Claude), Joey (Sue), Robert, and Brenda Lee Goodreau (Emiel); also remembered by his brothers-in-law  Carl and Glenn Zabarelo (Tracey).

Predeceased by his siblings Wayne (Brenda May), and Sheila (Richard Levesque).

The family would like to thank the Alzheimer's Society for their support, Mandy Gilchrist and staff of the 400 Club, all of the staff at NBRHC, and the staff of Nipissing Serenity Hospice for their compassion and support during this very difficult time.

As per Gary’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

Donation to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
