Obituary of Andre Sarrazin
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Andre “Cajun” Luc Sarrazin who left us far too soon at the young age 43, on May 26, 2025.
Andre was predeceased by his brother Bobby Sarrazin and his mother Lise Michaud. Andre is survived by his father Marc Sarrazin (Brenda Sarrazin), and his two sisters Julie Sarrazin (Ted Delamorandiere) and Jo-Anne Lavigne (Patrick Lavigne) and his stepsiblings Stephanie Doane (Devin Doane) Mary-Beth Finney (Chris Hoare) and Michael Finney (Miranda Catania). He leaves behind his beautiful nephews, Robby, Zenon, Thaddaus, Oliver, Myles, Camden, Dalikus and Mason, his aunts and uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
Andre brought light into every room he entered. Whether it was through his infectious smile, his unforgettable laugh, his unbelievable fishing stories or showing off his amazing photos. Andre loved to teach as he learned new things. He had the gentlest soul, and he was kind to everyone. Andre loved being surrounded by family. He loved listening to music. Spent countless hours researching and collecting coins and he sure loved his dark roast coffee.
Andre had many passions, but his most favorite of course was fishing. He could always be seen casting along the shorelines of Mattawa, whether it was at the peak of dawn or after sunset, or anytime in between! He loved a good fish battle, whether it was bass, pike, catfish, and his all-time favorite – Musky; which would turn into a great fish story for us.
While Andre lived with a rod in one hand, he had a deep respect for nature and its elements in his heart. Even at a young age, Andre could be found outside building tree houses, climbing trees or watching the sky for flying objects. He captured its serenity through photography. The pictures are so beautiful they look like paintings. He saw beauty and a story in every rock he found.
We would like to extend a special thank you to his matante Chantale and Jayce for everything they have done. Your kindness and support mean more than words can express.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you grab a rod and cast a line in Andre’s memory.
