I remember Grampa Tex paying me a $1 to sweep the floor of his garage. It wasn't something that probably needed to be done but it was fun spending time with him. He would let me use his tools, and spray car parts with chrome dust (I'm guessing) that was in a special box. Again something that didn't need to be done, but loved spending time with Grampa Tex. Unfortunately because of various reasons Jazmin and LJ never got the privilege of meeting Grampa Tex, but even though they never did both have a natural love for vehicles even at their young age. Jazmin wants to be a mechanic just like her Great Grampa Tex. Even though they never met I find it comforting that he was so special that his influence not only shaped myself but my kids as well.
